It’s been exhausting these past several days. Za It’s been exhausting these past several days. Zane had a seizure last Wednesday, fell hard and suffered a burst compression fracture of a lower vertebrae in his back. There were some scary moments as his spinal cord was impacted and he lost all strength in his legs. Surgery went well on Saturday and the surgeon was optimistic that his legs would improve as the swelling subsided. Zane is still recovering in the ICU and will be transferred to a room and then to a rehabilitation facility soon. He's bored and misses family and friends and would love to hear from or see anyone he can. ❤️‍🩹

So excited, yet scared to try something new. It’ So excited, yet scared to try something new. It’s been more than a few years since I dared to move forward with my deeper inspirations. My love of oil painting, figurative work and mixed media/metallic has been lingering long enough. Of course the fear of something interrupting my process is super scary for me, but I’ve got to try sometime. Here’s a little tease of what I’m working on this week. Silver leaf with patina for effect. I’ll post a follow up if it turns out. 😉
