We called her Aunt Bean Bean, but she was generally known as Sister Marquita. The reference photo was taken in the 1930’s when she was in her teens. She went on to become a Catholic nun, a mother superior, a teacher, a chemist, and an inspiration to the people around her. She was something of a feminist, too. You can see it in her eyes.
