Progress
This is a painting I’m working on. It’s of a distant cousin taken in the 1940’s. In all the pictures I have seen of her she has a big ol’ grin on her face. Here, she is getting ready to go swimming.
This painting is oil on canvas. Since the painting is on canvas, and is rather large, I will only be applying thin cold wax mixed with galkyd in the finishing layers. Even still, it will add to the texture, and the way the light reflects on the surface.
